State Records of South Australia

State Records of South Australia have now opened their city office in Leigh Street, and the hours for both Gepps Cross and Leigh Street are  – Tues to Fri 9.30am – 3.30pm. Monday and Saturday – closed. Gepps Cross only will be open on the 1st Sunday of each month 11.00am – 5.00pm.

Special Saturday openings of the Angas Street reading room will be on

     Saturday 25th July 2009  9 am - 1 pm

     Saturday 19th September 2009  9 am - 1 pm

     Saturday 21st November 2009  9 am -1 pm

Records for Saturday research should be ordered a day or two before as the lending service does not operate on Saturdays.

District Council of Mount Barker Library Local History Centre

It contains the catalogue of all the items in the Local History Centre's Collection. Images of photographs in the collection are also being added for viewing. The Courier Newspaper Oct 1880- the present, has also been indexed for any items relating to the area covered by the District Council of Mt Barker. These abstracts are also able to be searched. The project is ongoing with new records being uploaded daily.
